What a fabulous day! We started the day with a visual art activity and created what thought we might look like in the future. We are in for some very groovy centenarians! After this was completed, we moved onto some writing and made up a ‘bucket list’ of what we would like to have achieved by the time we reach 100 years old. What a treat. They have set the bar high. The ambitions were varied and interesting; tractor driving, a space expert, You Tubers and travellers, and so much more.
After lunch, we headed to the kitchen to do some baking and make cupcakes. I could tell that many of them must help out with the baking at home. When the cupcakes were in the oven, the children had a sneaky dip with fingers to help clean up the bowls. Whilst waiting for the cupcakes to do their thing, we made “I am 100 days smarter’ crowns.
After recess, we had fun icing our cakes and shared them with everyone at school before sitting down to taste our cupcakes. A great way to finish off the day!
We look forward to the next 100 days of learning.
