Stage 2 Excursion

Stage 2 students, across the Walbundrie Small Schools Network, attended an overnight excursion on Monday 21st and Tuesday 22nd October.

First stop was Glenrowan. Students completed a teacher led guided walking tour, visiting locations around the town such as the railway station and The Glenrowan Inn where Ned Kelly's 'Last Stand’ took place. We also visited Kelly's Cottage and explored the grounds containing a replica of the Kelly Cottage.

We then travelled to Beechworth and our accommodation at Camp Priory. Beechworth was an opportunity to consolidate our knowledge about Ned Kelly and his trial via the Beechworth Gaol and the Courthouse.

We all had a fabulous excursion and returned Tuesday afternoon ready for an early night...teachers included.

All students displayed respectful behaviour and represented our network in a positive manner.

We were all very grateful for such a wonderful opportunity to learn more about the history of our local area.
